The HCG diet plan is not the most difficult diet to take part in. You can have variety on the HCG diet menus even though the actual amount of calories that you eat will be generally very low.
However, you cannot eat whatever you wish and assume a low calorie count will automatically make the diet efficient.
While it might be efficient in terms of being able to help you lose weight, you certainly would not be eating a diet that was good for your health. As such, a guideline of acceptable - yet diverse - foods will be provided to those taking part in the diet.
Be sure to avoid eating foods that are not suggested as part of the diet or else you may end up displeased with the results. Every time I did not follow the plan to the "t", I didn't lose the weight.
This particular diet protocol follows a 500-calorie a day diet. Most diets would slow down the metabolism or will metabolize muscle in order to maintain make up for the calories.

The HCG weight loss program allows your body to burn off stored fat without shutting down the metabolism.What type of food would you eat when on the diet and how much? The HCG diet plan follows a basic three meal a day program.
HCG Diet Plan Breakfast
Only drink liquids along the lines of coffee, tea, or any other zero calorie drink. You do not touch any beverages that are carbonated or contain calories. Basically, breakfast comes in the form of no calorie liquids. (please don't use artificial sweeteners are they are extremely harmful to you.
HCG Diet Plan Lunch
Lean meat, poultry, or fish. Certain oily, fatty, or high calorie fish must absolutely be avoided. You want lean items that are very low in calories since you do not want to exceed the 500-calorie threshold. Vegetables along with fruit and a minute amount of bread are added to the mix.
3 Ounces or 100 Grams of lean meat which may consist of one of the following: Veal, lean beef, chicken breast, fresh white fish, lobster, crab, or shrimp. Salmon, eel, tuna, herring, dried or pickled fish are not allowed as they are higher in fat. I highly suggest that any of the portions -- meat, or vegetable be thoroughly spiced to taste enhance the flavor and 'stretch' the foods impact on the palate. Hint: I keep the Foreman grill and a bag of pre-measured, frozen chicken and tilapia filets on hand so I can grab a quick meal when I am busy) This is the weight before cooking.
3 Ounces or 100 Grams of select vegetables which may consist of one of the following: Spinach, chard, chicory, beet-greens, green salad, tomatoes, celery, onions, red radishes, cucumbers, asparagus, or cabbage.
1 selection of fruit with choices of: an apple, a handful of strawberries, half a grapefruit or an small- medium sized orange.
1 bread stick (low-fat) or one Melba Toast.
HCG Diet Plan Dinner
Basically a repeat of lunch with very little fruit or vegetables and will center on high protein meats instead. Really, the menu plan is a simple one.
The total daily intake must not exceed 500 calories if the best possible results are to be obtained. Last but certainly not least..... drink lots of water. This will help flush the fat out of your system, keep your bowels moving and keep the weight coming off. Dink at least one ounce for every 2 pounds you weigh---every day.
Can you stay on this diet all the time? No, you certainly do not have to do this. The duration you would stay on the HCG diet plan for a relatively short period of time.
Generally, you would be looking towards staying on the HCG diet plan for 23 to 45 days. That is a relatively brief amount of time in comparison to other diet plans and their duration. The time spent on this diet will literally fly by relatively quickly with the end result being you will drop a lot of weight.

You will take about 12 drops or 2-3 squirts of the homeopathic HCG, 3 times per day, on an empty stomach.
Following the HCG protocol, your body will selectively target fat (not muscle or protein) and scavenge it from your frame at a high, but not unhealthy rate. Like PacMan- your body is going to gulp down the previously immobile fat like all-out-war.
Important Protocol: Its extremely important to avoid all oils (fat) incorporated into food or used ON your person during the diet. On my person? I'm talking about tanning oils; oil based face creams; oil based make-up and oil based make-up removers, even facials (Oil of Olay) if they are in an oil base.
Some hair-styles still use oils to dress-up the effect -- so avoid those too. Use a gel instead. Anything that is oily on or in your body will be used as 'fuel' instead of your body fat and will negate the HCG's effect.
