HCG Side Effects

What You Need to Know Before Starting

No one wants to deal with HCG side effects. Yet, most people truly want to try out the HCG diet because of the amazing results that it may yield.

For those with concerns about side effects, it is safe to say that as long as you are familiar with a few of the basic points associated with HCG diet risks, you will be in a better position to navigate the diet to its proper outcome.

This is not a dangerous fad diet and the supplements are not risky or experimental. However, side effects may be possible with some people. As such, understanding a few basic risks can help ensure that you are taking part in a diet that will deliver the results you are seeking.

First, HCG is not a new concept. It has been in existence for decades have been first introduced in the 1950s. Originally, injections were the only way to administer the HCG hormone supplement so it could impact the human body.

One reason that the diet has long since been popular is because it works. However, there have been concerns over the years regarding the aforementioned potential of HCG side effects.

What Are The Risks?
The majority of the risks are du to the HCG injection or shots. However, if you use the homeopathic HCG, the risks are almost wiped out.

Probably the most complex side effect would be increased blood pressure. Having high blood pressure is never a good thing when you are dealing with obesity. The heart is already under a lot of stress from the excess weight so those wishing to avoid increased blood pressure may wish to avoid the HCG strategy for weight loss.

Most other HCG side effects from injectables can be considered somewhat minor.

Headaches, for example, are reported in the aftermath of injection therapy. Others have reported increased anxiety and irritability when undergoing treatment. Depression has even been reported in some cases, which is never a good malady to deal with.

However, with the homeopathic HCG, because it works with the body better, the risks are even less.

Those hoping to keep effective track of the weight they lost may be perturbed at the fact HCG diet risks also include potential water retention. While not fat, water weight is...weight. That means the water will be reflected on your scale, which can prove confusing to those hoping to keep their weight down.

Generally, the way to deal with water retention would be to significantly increase your fluid intake. In particular, you will need to drink a great deal of water, which will reverse the body's desire to retain water. Divide your weight in half and drink that amount in ounces.

If you undergo the injections, you will discover that the area where the injection was done might start to swell. It could even become highly tender to the touch, which is never a positive thing. Those that do suffer from the swelling and tenderness can take solace in the fact the swelling will eventually go down in a short period of time.

HCG side effects can often be circumvented when you use the oral homeopathic form as opposed to the injections. This is not to say the oral version of the supplement can be without side effects but the number of side effects may be reduced.
