Water molecules (H2O) are composed of two hydrogen atoms and one oxygen atom. When these molecules are electrically charged, they separate into acidic H+ and alkaline OH- ions.
This charge assists in the transfer of the accumulated toxins from the feet into the water in the spa. This transfer process is similar to how reverse osmosis filters work.
The body with high ionic density gives up the ions and sends them to the water where there was low ionic density. The anode will collect the material and prevent it from returning to the body.
