Master Cleanser by Stanley Burroughs Lemonade Cleanse

The Master Cleanser by Stanley Burroughs is a classic. It has been around since the 1970s and is a very quick read about the cleansing system, also known as The Lemonade Diet.

If you are serious about detoxing your body, then this is the book for you. Burroughs not only outlines the Master Cleanse system and the benefits of it, he also includes information about natural health aids in general as well as other practices such as the salt water flush (also know as the salt water colon cleanse), dry skin brushing and tongue scraping that are beneficial to perform while on the fast.

It appears to be a simple-to-do cleanse, but is certainly not easy.

It says you won’t be hungry after the first couple days. However, from my experience, you will crave all of your favorite foods. What’s nice is that you know you are doing well on it when you start to crave vegetables. Honest!

Many people like the Master Cleanser by Stanley Burroughs because you lose about one pound a day. In fact, it is often referred to as the Master Cleanse Diet for that reason. However, the book points out that it is not meant to be used as a weight loss program, even though that is one of the side effects.

After the first few days, I actually have more energy on this program than you would think, especially when I wasn’t eating anything and just drinking the lemonade.

One of the key lemonade diet ingredients is cayenne. Since I am not a fan of spicy foods, I choose to take it in capsule form instead of how the recipe stated.

It worked great as long as I didn’t take too much. After all, the master cleanse system does call for just a very small amount.

I find this little book useful to read and re-read when I am doing the lemon cleanse detox. It really helps keep me focused and on track to complete it.

Many people wonder what it tastes like. Well, its not exactly like the lemonade you are used to, but my kids love it when I share my lemon drink with them - even the picky eater.
